We packed up and went to Fish Lake near Salmon La Sac for Labor Day weekend. We took Mali and Bailey (my neices) too. We packed the 4 girls, ourselves and the 3 dogs....well 2 and 1/4 dogs into the Expedition with all our camping gear in Scott's grandfather's utility trailer. The trailer is made from a 1963 ford truck bed. You may not have heard the story last year when we took the trailer and ended up getting two flat tires along I-90 on our way home and turned a 3 hr trip home into an 7 hr trip home. Anywho....we headed out at about 5:30am Saturday morning. We went over Snoqualmie pass and were just getting off at exit 80 just before Cle Elum. We heard a strange noise and figured we had another flat tire. We pulled onto the overpass and the trailer just dropped! The tire completely came off the trailer. Scott handled himself well. No cussing at all. We sat there on the overpass trying to figure out what to do. We ended up calling Cle Elum towing. They towed us 4 miles down the freeway to their yard. They gave us a "great" deal at just $170.00. So we told them they could just keep the trailer. So....then we had to drive all the way to Ellensberg to get a Uhaul trailer. We picked up the trailer, headed back to Cle Elum, unloaded all of our camping stuff into the U haul and we were finally on our way. So with that out of the way, we ended up finding a really cool spot. Very secluded and right on the river. It was pretty cold at night, low 40's. We froze the first night. We did manage to go swimming. It wasn't so bad after your entire body went numb. We all fished alot, but didn't catch anything to brag about. Scott caught a keeper, and Bailey caught a keeper...for her size anyways. It was her first fish so she had to keep it. We had alot of fun, the dogs did well. Macie spent most of her time in the backpack. Shadow , the old man, had a hard time getting over the logs and rocks, so we think this might be his last trip of this nature. Nikki, the lab, had a wonderful time running around and playing in the water. Next year we hope to get more of the family to tag along. Oh...and we made it home without a glitch, thanks to the U haul.
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day. Now school has started and I can mentally prepare for the holidays!!!

I'm so glad you've got every step documented! It's so pretty up there, you should get some of those pictures printed. Have you ever wanted to scrap? I have... (wanted to)
p.s. the picture of Macy is so pathetically cute!
Macie was perfectly happy riding in the backpack. Even if you sat it down at camp she would just hang out in there.
That's so funny. Macy and here squinty little eyes!
How am I supposed to see your hair when it's back all the time. It's not as short as I imagined is all I know now.
Or maybe it's not "up" in the picture...I guess it is REALLY short.
I didn't want to say but....it is actually a mullet. It just looks back, but if you were to see the back of my head it is almost to the my buttocks.
OH....well...I'm sure it looks really good.
Love the picture of Macie! Sounds like a good time!
