Busy Weekend

This weekend was really busy. On Saturday I had to get up and head to the Honey Bucket Picnic. Of course I had to help set up, and take down, so I arrived on site at 10am and stayed until 6:30pm. The girls went with me, so that was nice, but Scott had to work and wasn't able to make it. It is hard to attend work parties without him because he is like my security blanket, when he is not there I have to talk to "other people" and that is really hard on me mentally and physically. Shane stayed the night with us we watched most of "Walk Hard, the Dewey Cox Story" and didn't go to bed until 11:30 pm. We got up at 4:45am to go fishing with Scott for Father's Day. It was nice to have all of the kids there for Scott. Shane, Kurtis, Rachel and Kylee. I, of course, didn't catch one fish, but Kurtis schooled us all on fishing. Perch, Bass, Trout....he caught everything.
We came home in time to see Scott's Dad, who stopped by for a quick visit. Then we had to get ready for the Birthday parties. Jani and Rachel's birthday is June 15th, and Dad's was June 12th, so we celebrated them all together along with Father's Day.
Rachel turned 13 so she gets to: ride in the front seat, doesn't have to wear a life jacket the entire time on the boat, wear make up, pluck her eyebrows and all that good stuff. She is really excited.
Well tomorrow is the last day of school for the girls....and the last day of me having to get up early to get ready before everyone else gets up, no more lunches to make, no more homework. I already warned Scott this summer is about me focusing on me, which sounds selfish, but is long overdue. I mean working out, riding, roping and relaxing. I can't wait! It even felt like summer today (well 70's) but I did get a nice tan line....after the pinkish red line wore off.
Have a great week!!!!

Sounds like a nice weekend. =) And as long as someone in the boat was catching fish, you didn't get skunked! I never have much luck either. I'm not big on anything that requires much technique. Some people are just naturals though.
