I can't believe the 4th is over already. I am happy that we finally have summer weather ! It's almost 100 degrees here today. It's hard to adjust to, it was only in the 50's on the 4th of July. Dad is out cutting the hay and we should be baling it by this weekend.

So....Dad has been working on building us a new room and it is coming along great. I can't wait. It will be 2 times bigger than the one we have now. AND it won't be the hallway to the bathroom.

On July 3rd we tried to go fishing at Clear Lake with Tod and Willy, but once we got on the lake the trim wouldn't work on the boat. Luckily the wind pushed us back towards the landing and we were able to pull ourselves in. We didn't get to go fishing, but as we were sitting there a duck and her babies came up to see what was going on. It was really cute.

I just liked the picture I took of the sky...it was at about 5am one morning.

Kylee received 2 awards at the end of the year assemble. Unfortunatly she had an abscessed tooth and her face was all swollen.

It should be summer time , but not around here. We are lucky to break 70. They say that July 5th will be in the upper 70's for a few days, so I guess we can look forward to that. We have the pool ready, and the porch is all set up for summer with the towel drying rack and barbeque ready to go. Now we just need the sun. Well since my last blog update I have announed my pregnancy. I am just at 4 months and starting to show. Not alot, just enough to look like I have let myself go. I haven't taken any pictures of myself yet, but I will soon. So for now I hope you enjoy the other pictures. Have a good day!

Everything is starting to have babies around here. We have 4 calves so far, and 2 baby chicks. Jani is going in for her C-section today, and we should have a new little one by 10:00am this morning. It has been pouring down rain and cold and doesn't feel like May should....well what I think May should feel like, let alone June. Have a great day!

A little taste of what I have been going through for the past 3 weeks

I know it's been a while since my last post. For Lent I gave up Facebook. Not that I spend all day on it, but enough time to take away from things that I should be doing? I have done really well.

Now it's almost Easter. We had our March Birthday parties and will soon have Mali's party on Easter Eve. I am just going to post some pictures for you to see.

We spent almost all day outside on Sunday. The weather was so nice. We played on the horses mostly. Mali, Kylee, and Rachel chased the yearlings around for a while. It was a nice break from the constant moo-ing they've been doing. We just weaned the babies from their mothers. Ben rode Tinkerbell and did really well.

Mali and Kylee played on the boat for a while. Then, of course ,Tod and I had to take a turn.

I wish this weather would last forever!

Happy Lent! Yesterday was Ash Wednesday. The next 40 days are dedicated to self reflection and my relationship with God. We all have our different "fasts" that we are doing. In the past it has been some sort of food item, but this year it has more to do with how I spend my time. Instead of wasting time on the computer, I will be outside or reading a book. There will be an occasional blog update along the way.....I hope.

This year has allot in store for me. I am going to travel to see Kara...where ever that may be and Scott and I are undergoing preparations to add on to our family. Along with that we will be adding onto our little house. I am excited and ready to take on whatever comes my way.

It's done

Dad has been working on a new Saddle house for the past few months. He used his chainsaw mill and milled all the wood for it. It was ALOT of work. He crafted everything in there. It even has a loft. We moved everything in it yesterday. Everything has a place and there is no clutter. Now if we can just keep it that way.

2010

We had a small crowd for New Years, but we had a great time playing poker and shooting our guns off at midnight.

I can't believe it is 2010. Now that I have the Christmas stuff down and put away I feel like I can move on with my resolutions. I am starting a work out routine, but that is not my resolution this year. The workouts and diet is a life change. My resolution is to use coupons. I have never done it before but have always wanted to. I have been clipping them, but when I get in the line to use them, I have some sort of anxiety attack and panic. I think I am afraid of holding up the line. I figured out that I am too considerate....if that's possible. I usually worry about how my actions will affect other people. Even if it's something stupid like making them wait a little longer in line, and even if it's somebody I don't even know. So I need to put my anxieties behind me and just do it.

I am excited for this year. I am going to get in shape, play soccer again this Spring, and will be taking a trip to North Carolina to see Kara. I hope you have a wonderful 2010.
